This morning was only supposed to be five mile an hour winds but but it was blowing straight up from the north and white capping when we got out there. Once we moved around trying to use the park to hide from the wind, it got a little better. It was still blowing us over the flats a little faster than I prefer but the bass still tore that dark green with red and blue sparkle Yamamoto Senko up.

I had my good luck charm with me this morning and I was a little concerned she was going to catch a bigger bass than me, but luckily her good luck rubbed off on me. Once we found 3 ft water and and could see the tops of the grass beds, we started floating and sneaking our worms through the weeds. Slow and steady, I was dragging my worm, popping it off of any grass I could find to give it some action, bouncing it off the bottom.

Tap..Tap.. Wham. ! This one was peeling my drag so I knew it was a good one. He was a true Pig and measured at 22 in long. He ate the peanut butter and jelly colored worm. I am already dying to go back.
