Once the water warms up to above 75 degrees it’s a little harder to catch the stripers on topwater plugs in 4 ft of water. I tend to go into a deep state of depression after spring season waiting for that fall striper season to begin.

This year for Father’s Day Kelsi got me some 5-inch Gary Yamamoto senko worms. The largemouth bass are crushing those crazy worms. I’ve actually caught 8 bass over the weekend dragging them thru the grass. Now I am on a personal mission to catch the largest fattest meanest bass in the river. This morning I caught three nice bass on the fading green pumpkin color and broke my line on something big trying to set the hook.

I think I’ll be okay until September rolls around..
